Regardless of any of our excellent suggestions always follow this one first. Consult the manufacturers specifications prior to purchasing and the installation and user manuals prior to installing and using.

New dishwashers have greatly improved in the past decade. They clean better, they are quieter, most of them are energy efficient, and they look way better. You have multiple choices to choose from besides color. When choosing a new dishwasher I always advise to measure first. The reason is simple. You come to our showroom and spend the time finding all the things that would fit you only to find out hours or days later that what you fell in love with will not fit. Everyone ends up feeling horrible and more time is spent than necessary.

Therefore, prior to purchasing a dishwasher you want to make sure that it will fit the space you have provided for it. Most dishwashers will fit in a space that is 34" high, 24" wide, and 24" deep. When you are measuring, especially the height, make sure that you measure from the top of the floor to the bottom of the counter-top. The reason you will do this is to prevent the installer you have scheduled from coming out and telling you that the dishwasher you bought cannot be installed since the old one cannot come out unless its taken apart, the floor is broken, legs cut off and so on. The other reason is to make sure that when the old does come out the new one fits. Width, although not a frequent culprit, is equally as important. Depth is an issue that happens the least frequently. Nevertheless, it is important especially if you want your dishwasher to remain flush with the cabinetry.
