For the price I paid for this machine I expected it to be exceptional. It's no better than the average priced dishwasher from a different company it replaced. It is extremely quiet and the third rack is a nice option but the Crystal Dry doesn't dry the dishes any better than any other machine. The bottom two rack setups make loading it clumsy and a bit of a pain. I would not normally spend so much on a dishwasher and wish I didn't on this one.

Coming from a 20 year old Jennair dishwasher this Bosch 800 is an enormous upgrade. It is indeed almost silent. No more waiting until bedtime to run. We can watch TV without adjust volume to hear over the dishwasher. Dishes come out clean and dry consistently. Plastic doesn't dry 100%, but it's better than most other dishwashers I've used.

After two trips to Lowe's picking up two different Samsung bespoke dishwashers and neither functioned correctly the salesman told to get a Bosch and lowes was out of stock do I found a local dealer and picked up a series 800 and it is flawless.

This unit replaced our old which was a two drawer unit. With the old one we were constantly running one drawer or the other and has to listen to noise on a regular basis. Now we have a hard time filling it up and then it is so quiet when we run it. I also wanted to add the comment that my husband (who notices nothing) and I both notice our dishes are much cleaner.
PS.......I didn't receive this til 11/1.... no matter. I'm so pleased with this product!

This Bosch dishwasher is amazing! Our dishes have never been this clean. From silverware on the top rack, wine glasses in the middle and larger items on the bottom, everything comes out spotless! PLUS, you don't even hear it running! Highly recommend this product!

TO SAY THAT THIS UNIT IS OVER PRICED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. THE INTERNAL RACKS ARE CHEAP AND FLIMSY. IT IS VERY TIGHT INSIDE AND HAS MUCH LESS ROOM THEN THE FRIGIDAIRE IT WAS REPLACING. THE DOOR IS ALSO VERY FLIMSY AND "NOT" STAINLESS STEEL AS ADVERTISED BY BIG SANDY. I do like this dishwasher. I have the Crystal Dry which is great. Very little water left on my plastic dishes. And I like being able to plastic anywhere as I don't have to worry about a heating element melting anything. The tilted rack tines do make placing dishes difficult. I prefer those that are straight up, not angled. Trying to get used to that.

Love the dishwasher! Everything gets cleaned well and it's very quiet. Only complaint is that the detergent dispenser stopped staying closed within a year. Got a warranty repair; so far so good.

First the good part: it cleans dishes and pots very well, so it does the job. But...
The first few weeks the dishwasher will emit a strong odor of burnt plastic and car tire. This seems to be mostly caused by the low quality of the insulation on the exterior.
Then it was said to notice that there is no place for softening salts - in Europe everydishwasher has it and the same model from Bosch does have it - why the US version needs to have less features? it can make a difference when water is hard.
Then the minor thing that really bother us: we waited for 18 months to get our dishwasher, you read that right: EIGHTEEN MONTHS. We stick with Bosch because we already had a Bosch oven and we did want a matching design. UNFORTUNATELY the bar handle of the dishwasher is quite different with respect to the bar handle of the over (same series 800): it is thinner and it connects in a different way to the front panel. My GE refrigerator has handles that are a better match with the oven (!!!)
Finally the user manual: no explanation on the wash cycle, if one wants to understand what is going one and why it takes so much and what happens when you select Eco (reducing temperature) and Crystal Dry (increasing temperature)? Funny things: the "Speed60" lasts 1h and 14mins not 60mins (!!!) - for everybody convenience I attach the photo of the cycle summary we have done for ourselves
If we could go back in time we would not buy this again and we advise to evaluate some other brand

Overall I like the unit.
The pros: it is extremely quiet!, it gets the dishes really clean and they sparkle, I like the red light to show it is on. The cons:
It is somewhat difficult to load whereas the tongs are not positioned very well. Glasses are are hard to arrange because of the length of the tongs. I can't believe that Bosch didn't add a green light on the bottom of the dishwasher to show that the dishes inside the dishwasher are clean. Such an easy addition, but without it, it is difficult to tell if the dishes inside are clean or dirty.

The plates and glasses are very clean, the machine is very quiet, and there are lots of options! But I have 2 criticisms:
1) The on/off button and the start button should be more responsive. I have to push them several times before they activate. It's kind of annoying.
2) At the end of each cycle there are water drops on the third shelf and often times there are water drops on some of the silverware

This dishwasher has lived up to the hype. Replaced a KitchenAid which I liked but it was past it's time. The Bosch was the one that had the best reviews. Have been hard to get (supply chanin issues) but worth the wait.

Waited 15 months for this dishwasher, and when I got it a piece that helps reduce noise had not been installed. It was just laying loose inside. Called customer serve to have it installed and was told I would have to pay to have this done!! Won't buy Bosch again.

My days of drippy plastic are over, along with melted platic on the heat ring. This dishwasher is sooo quiet. I have an open kitchen and the red light shining on the floor lets me know it is still working. One thing, you must leave he machine alone right after th cycle ends. The complete drying takes a while. Glasses sparkle. No water marks. There may be a drop or two on plastic that has ridges or lips. This is a must have!!

I purchased this Bosch 800 to replace a GE model that came with my house. It was a great dishwasher, but doesn't compare to my new Bosch. I had a Bosch previously in a home I sold. I had selected the Bosch after much research. So Bosch was the first brand I looked to buy. This Bosch 800 is extremely quiet and it leaves my glasswear spotless. I don't even have to double check when emptying it because it thoroughly cleans every dish even when packed.

I was skeptical since there were a few review complaint about a Bosch not dry at the end. I decided to buy one anyway because of the reputation of it. It turned out a great decision I have ever made. This Bosch dishwasher (800 serial) not only wash it well and completely dry at the time too. The way I used was either a combination of auto + sanitize + crystal dry if I have soiled dishes or just a single " express " button if my dishes were cleaned once manually before putting into it. Both came out completely dry. Especially, I have bamboo chopsticks which were usually not dried enough with my old dishwasher, but dried very well with my new Bosch. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Highly recommended.

The good: nice build quality. quite quiet (although, not as quiet as previous versions of the same series, which had hard outside sheathing). Does a great job cleaning. The not so good: does only an ok job cleaning dinner knives in the upper rack - many require additional cleaning. Otherwise a fine machine... I just wish I didn't need to wait for 9 months for it to arrive.

Over the years, we've had Maytag, Kitchenaid, Electrolux and now Bosch. We lost our house to the Caldor fire in California in 2021 and have had to replace everything. Due to COVID, shipping issues were a problem and we did not get another Kitchenaid, which we were highly satisfied with cleaning-wise and with how quiet it was. However, I hated the top 2 racks. They didn't sit right with space and our dishes. The very top rack was only used for the cookie drying racks or BBQ skewers, not silverware. To put silverware there, we had to lower the rack, then lower the glasses rack, then our plates rack didn't fit our dinner plates. Bosch solved this problem somehow! All 3 racks fit what they are supposed to. Everything comes out clean, even the late night plate of lasagna that sat until the morning, there dog bowl of dried dog food, the dried granola and milk... We are so happy we ended up with a Bosch by chance. The salesperson listened to what our needs were, what I didn't like about my old machine, what I was willing to compromise and came up with the Bosch, no compromise, and delivery in less than 2 months. This machine is super quiet in our open floor plan home. LOVE IT AND WILL DEFINITELY LOOK AT BOSCH FOR OUR REPLACEMENT STOVE TOP, IN WALL OVENS AND FRIDGE!
Do not waste your money on the others. Electrolux went back in a week. WORST dishwasher ever! Cheap ones in timeshares work better than Electrolux.

Incredibly quiet. If it wasn't for the red floor light, I wouldn't know it was on. Cleans all dishes great. No streaks at all. Even plastics are totally dry. One month since purchase and worth every dollar of the price.

This replaced our 19-year-old Bosch Dishwasher. It is even quieter than the previous one and seems to clean better. Some of our dishes had stains that disappeared after being washed in this model. We do not care for the hidden controls. There is something about seeing either the count-down or the CL symbol indicating it is done. It took a while to understand the many choices of cycles and some ran way too long. Other than that we are pleased with this dishwasher.

Love this quiet dishwasher with plenty of options to choose for washing dishes. We can load top or bottom shelves with dishwasher safe plastics and not worry about them melting! the shelves can also be adjusted for tall items to avoid hitting the fan. Great convenience!

Why we are recently finding out about the silverware rack, is amazing. Just love how we can organize the silverware, which makes it easier to unload to the silverware drawer. This is the quietest dishwasher we have ever had and thank goodness for the light on the bottom to let us know that it is still washing or if the cycle is finished. Impressed with the dishes coming out clean! Also the fine people at Allan and Petersen were fantastic! Thank you!

I love this dishwasher. It is super quiet when running and does an incredible job getting the dishes clean and dry, with minimal pooling water on cups or plastic. I like the red light that shows when the dishwasher is running, but wish it had a green light to show the cycle has ended. The silverware tray has steps to it that will keep items elevated, but needs to be a bit bigger to handle a family's day of dishes. I would definitely recommed this dishwasher.

We absolutely enjoy the dishwasher itself! The following is what I do NTO like:
1. Pot Scrubbing Attachment: I was unable to find any explanation of this item or its purpose in the instruction manual. I contacted the sales representative with whom we worked to purchase the washer. He told us we had to remove the middle rack, install the part on the lowest of the three (3) holes in tha back of the washer, etc. Frankly, I am unable to comprehend how this part will improve the washing capability of the washer. Therefore, I will never utilize this item.
2. Silverware Basket on Bottom Rack: You have changed the design of the two (2) baskets on this model and year from the previous. The design of the former basket was much better, in my opinion. The raised groove surounding 3/4 of the bottom of the baskets will not permit silverware to settle uniformly in the basket. the elongated rectangular slots do not align with the respective wells in each basket thereby making them virtually useless. Finally the walls of each basket are concave toward the inside of the wells in each basket. This once again reduces the usefulness of the baskets.
I do like the layout of the bottom and middle racks - very nice, flesible and useful.
