Battery issues from the start

I bought this T-Mobile Note 4 brand new. Trouble with rapid battery use, changed settings as recommended. Had not added apps. Fast charger that came with phone quit working after 2 weeks. After being in use just 3 months the phone started unexpectedly shutting down without warning when still 30-40% battery life remaining. I've ordered a new battery which I hope will resolve the issue as it has for some. I had a GSM unlocked Note 3 on AT&T for several years without any issue, and since there are thousands of same battery complaints online for Note 4, is it a Samsung glitch or does it have something to do with it being a T-Mobile branded phone?

Good phone back then

I paid to for it, just like the one before, yet it wasn't a bad device at the time,. Samsung put a lot of applications in it and some we still use to today. 32GB 's was big storage then and it had most of the same features we have now. I would play games on it and make calls. It never broke down on me even after I dropped it so many times. The battery came out and you could do soft boots once a week, plus it had a "Wipe Cache Partition " feature. Came in handy.

Best Phone by FAR!!!

I have just about every phone and I thought I had hit the jackpot when I bought the Edge 6 Plus, and although that was an exceptional phone, I cannot put into words my excitement with the Note. I plan to upgrade to the latest version VERY soon just because I want to see how such an amazing phone could possibly get better. I recommended and brag on this phone to everyone I know. The specs alone are awesome but the greatest feature that is BRILLIANT is obviously the Spen and I know that I can never have a phone other than the Note. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Samsung Galaxy Notem 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased the S 5 and someone borrowed it, and broke it....it was replaced with the Note 4, and I fell in LOVE with it right away! The screen is large, which is AWESOME for veiwing movies and looking at your photos. The functions are amazing, but there are way too many to list!! (I was HEARTBROKEN when T-Mobile FORCED THEIR UPDATE on me, and it slowed down my device...then the screen started to blink-out, flashing off and on, then went completely BLACK!! My device was under Samsung's one year Warranty, so they were going to give me an EVEN EXCHANGE and replace it. I was SOOOO HAPPY....until they bursted my bubble. :-( I figured since the device was damaged, and no longer functioning, I allowed my 7 year old to "play" with it. (Something I NEVER ALLOW if my phone is working!!!) Apparantely, she must have dropped it because when I went into the store to pick up my replacement Note 4, the girl working said it had a MINUTE crack UNDER the screen!! You had to tilt it just right, and be in a certain light to see the TINY CRACK!!! (I KNOW it was not there when the phone stopped working because when I brought it into the store to replace it, 3 DIFFERENT T-MOBILE EMPLOYEES INSPECTED IT!!!! My replacement Note 4 was ACTUALLY sitting on the counter, in a box, with MY NAME ON IT. One employee said to, "Damage it out, and give it to me anyways" because he was ONE of the 3 who inspected it in the first place...he KNEW it did NOT HAVE ANY CRACKS IN IT WHEN I FILED THE CLAIM!!!! So I decided to "take the hit" and file it with my insurance, and pay $ 175.00 that I should NOT have been paying, to replace it. Then, the insurance company told me the clain was DENIED because I waited over 90 days after the phone stopped working to file the claim with them. (SERIOUSLY????!!!!) The reason it took so long was due to the fact that the phone was on back order, and it took 2 weeks to come in. Since I was not prepared to pay to have it replaced, it took some time for me to come up with the $ 175.00. (I had recently been laid off at the time!!) I know...my luck just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it???? So I ended up paying $ 210.00 for the repairs, $ 25.00 for a new battery, and with tax it came out to $ 250.00!!!!!!! Yes, it was expensive but better than the "GREAT DEAL" T-Mobile offered me...."We will give you $ 150.00 off a brand new Galaxy Edge / or Galaxy S7. Well, if I had trouble paying the $200.00, there was NO WAY I could pay the $ 450.00 for a new phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, good thing I LOVE this phone SOOOO MUCH, or I woudl have bought a cheap-@$$ phone and just used it!!! Now I am trying to get into my BEAUTIFUL NOTE 4, because since all this time has passed, I forgot the PIN to get into the phone!!! ;-(

Keep it simple yet have suggestions for someone to pit more bloated things to slow down phone. Also split screen was limited for some things which o well.

Last Phone with Removable Battery

Fast phone with a stylus and big screen

I like all the features Samsung has. I enjoy using the stylus, it comes in handy for making quick notes and navigating Web pages quickly. I am stuck on the note line now. TheNote 4 has an SD card slot for expansion Note 5 however does not have an SD card so I hope my next one does as well. All the games I have played on this phone have been handled really well. I have gone through a couple batteries but that seems to be common. I only by Samsung replacements as well. The fast charge is an awesome feature in the house and in the car. Even for an older model this was an upgrade from a different phone made the same time.

( Note: the plan was to replace it with a note 7 that i never turned on and had to return) at least I still had my note 4! I recently bought 2 of these phones in new - other condition. Why two? So I have a spare if one ever fails. I consider the Galaxy Note 4 to be the perfect phone. With its large screen, stylus, 32GB internal memory, 16 MB camera, large REMOVABLE battery and SD card slot. This phone does everything I will ever need and I can swap batteries! Samsung would be wise to go back to this design for the Note 8. Just upgrade the processor, give it more internal memory and a better camera. We want a removable battery and SD card in the next Galaxy Note!

My Very First Smart Phone

Every previous phone I have owned has been an used Samsung, and I have never ever had a single problem with any of them. I am quite happy with the purchase of my very first smartphone. While I have only owed it at least 10 days, I am not fully familiar with operating most of the features. Unfortunately it did not come with an users manual; however, there are free downloads of them if you do an internet search. I love the touch feature which was a must for me as well of course the removable battery and the external memory card. I find it very responsive and love the crystal clear display. I look forward to becoming smart phone savvy this coming year.

Hard to switch to something else

I have owned a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 now over a yr and for the most part I have not had any major issues with it. 80 % of the time I've had the phone it operates beautifully. It's really been the last couple months that I have felt the need to potentially upgrade to the newer version because of some glitching after running the new software update. But this phone is literally a tablet or small computer in the palm of your hands. I'm still learning after over a year new things I can do on it. One of the best things in the world is to be on the phone running apps, sending emails, and looking up things in browser while on the phone with iPhone users and hear them say wow I guess my phone won't let me do that while I'm talking !!!! I can do nothing but smile lol

GREAT PHONE

I love my phone and I have nothing bad to say about it except that it has recently started to malfunction. It won't pick up my swipe on the left side of the screen and it is very annoying when I am trying to answer the phone or text someone!

Love samsung galaxy note....already own 2 .3 4 ....just recently bought note 7 also and absolutely loved it....ufortunately had to return it...will buy it again if samsung starts sales....user friendly functionality of apps access is great....samsung galaxy fan and user for life....

Samsung gives the best photos

By far this is the best phone that I've ever owned but I've noticed a few glitches. For ex: My phone will shut off at 17% or it'll shut off even if I have full/half battery life. Also it would be nice to have a light when you use the selfies mode so that photos don't come out so dark. . Sometimes a selfie involves other people in that photo as well. .

Note 4 is overall grat product with a lot of features, interchangeable battery expandable sd memory, battery life is great all though back side cover look and is cheap plastic , Samsung could do beter job. But performance is unbeatable.

I own 7 Samsung products & have convinced friends & family to go Samsung or go home. When it comes to Samsung products I've been a Samsung fan since my very first purchase. I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 4(have 2), Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 2014 Edition tablet, Samsung Galaxy S7, & we just recently added a Samsung Smart TV about a month ago. I love all my Samsung products and will continue to purchase Samsung products because of their design and reliability

I've always been a true Samsung customer. I've played around with other cell phone brands from the day they came out, and they just don't compare to a Samsung. So far to date I still love my Samsung Note 4. You can do anything on it and from it, and still be able to read and customize it your specifications and make it you. A true Samgsunger for life
